Prof. MATTEO DI CRISTOFARO
TEACHING: English Language - B2
I obtained a PhD in Corpora and Cognitive Linguistics (Lancaster University, UK) and I worked as a researcher in several interdisciplinary projects abroad and in Italy, collaborating with disciplines such as Law, Criminology, Economics, History, Sociology, as well as with institutions local and international including Global Drug Policy Observer (Swansea), United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI, Geneva), Center for Terrorism & Security Studies (Boston). I have taught Linguistics and English courses at Lancaster University and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, as well as having held Corpus Linguistics laboratories for professionals and data analysts. The passion for interdisciplinarity led me to work also in extra-academic fields such as forensic consultancy, archives relating to cultural heritage, and art installations. I am Computational Linguistics at FEM (Future Education Modena), I collaborate with the civic factory OvestLab (Ovestlab.it) and I am vice-president of CivicWise Italia.
